Team China and Oka Shinnosuke Lead Medal Count at 2024 Paris Olympic Games

Team China secures seven medals, the most of any team, while Japan's Oka Shinnosuke claims four individual medals, including three golds

The 2024 Paris Olympic Games have concluded, with seven individuals and one team crowned as the new Olympic champions. A total of 13 different countries won medals at the Games, with five nations—China, Japan, the Philippines, Great Britain, and the United States—earning multiple medals. While China took home the most overall medals with seven, it was Japan that topped the gold medal tally with three.

Among the standout performers was Japan's Oka Shinnosuke, who emerged as the most decorated individual athlete of the Games, capturing four medals, including three golds. Team China delivered a strong performance as well, with four of their gymnasts earning multiple medals, showcasing the depth and talent of the squad.




Two athletes successfully defended their Olympic titles from the Tokyo 2020 Games: Zou Jingyuan on the parallel bars and Liu Yang on the still rings, demonstrating their continued dominance in their respective events.
