Japan leads day 1 of qualifications with a 253.829; Great Britain is 2nd with a 251. 460; and WG2 is 3rd with a 249.162; USA is 4th with a 245.961.

Mario Macchiati (ITA - FX) front full to double front stuck! small hop on the second pass, small foot movement on the double full side pass, one of the athletes choosing to still utilize the scale. Stuck fourth pass, STUCK double arabian dismount.

Fall from Lan Xiingyu (CHN) on pommel horse. Zou Jingyuan up next.

Carlos Yulo (PHI - VT) Ri Se Gwang 2 with a big step forward. Definitely keeps the pike position though

Gorgeous handspring Randi. Easily will be into the vault final.

Zou Jingyuan (CHN - PH) Scissor to handstand (short), Flop sequence, into the Russian on one pommel into the Magyar Sivado into the triple russian and good dismount.

Noah Kuavita (BEL - HB) He gets so much height on his releases. Unfortuately has a huge run forward on the triple pike dismount.

Tian Hao is off on the russian flop on pommels

Yang Haonan (CHN - PH) ooohhh a spindle! This is actually a more unique routine! hits it well!

After 5:

Lan Xingyu (CHN - FX) double front with a small hop, back lay, Russians were a bit odd. double full to end. REally simple routine.

Kas full from Nicolau Mir (ESP) on vault

Eldrew Yulo is going to lose credit for one of his handstands.

Daniel Carrion bareeelllyyy eaked around the last half on his Kas 1.5

Tian Hao (CHN - FX) Front full todfront double pike stuck, hof forward on the double double, stuck the side pass (double full I think), bak 2.5 to front lay stuck, pretty back handspring to prone, full-in with a big hop

Big stumble back on the Tsuk double pike from Ray Zapata (ESP)

Belgium is having themselves a day. lots of stuck landings. Kilan Van der Aa likely in the PH final. etc.

Li Hongyan (CHN - FX) back 2.5 to front full stuck, Randi (leg form issues), dobule double with low chest and a step forward, Russians are good, Beautiful kick out on the stuck double pike!

Rotation 4

Pommel horse was a fall machine. None of the Chinese made the high bar final.

Igancio Yockers (ESP) Really good routin from the Spaniard. Started a little tentative but really got a smooth rhythm later on. A hit. And now we wait for the score. 14.3 A great routine but will just miss finals.

Eldrew Yulo (PHI - FX) just a little off today. Already with a fall and some uncharacteristic form issues. He will miss the final.

Carlos Yulo (PHI - FX) Good few opening passes. Maybe a little short on the wide arm press hold. I love his floor transition choreo. Small movement on the double lay dismount.

Zou Jingyuan (CHN - PB) kip to L, just unbelievalle. Into the lead by half a point.

Rotation 2

Ignacio Yockers (ESP - FX) Good on the full-in opener. So farrw well-controlled. Spoke slightly too soon. He hopped out on this third pas, STUCK double pike to end.

Carlos Yulo (PHI - HB) Falls on high bar

Lan Xingyu (CHN - VT) supppeerrr underrotated on the Kas Double. I'd be shocked if it's not downgraded. Yup, looks like they did downgrade it.

OH. MY. GOD. Tian Hao just balked vault.

Li Hongyan with a Dragulescu, but the Chinese are having a hard day thus far.

Daniel Carrion (ESP - FX) Crashed the dismount and I'm not sure he saluted?

Zapata (ESP - FX) His roundoff technique is so interesting. The height he gets on the dive roll should be studied. It's GORGEOUS. One of the best routines we've seen from him this year. He's an athlete that definitely knows how to peak for Worlds/Olympics.

Reigning Chinese AA Champion, Yang Haonan leads off the the Chinese 13.733 and already out of finals

Zou Jingyuan (CHN - SR) Invert was a little high and so was the cross. His shoulders are pretty taped similar to Asian Games. 13.466 He will also miss finals.

Targhetta (ITA - PH) hit his feet on the dismount I think. Maybe also one other part of the routine. Was otherwise pretty clean. Will be interested to see how that scores. 14.833 Into second behind Manukyan.

Tian Hao going as a place holder on rings before 2021 World Champ, Lan Xingyu goes up.

Lan Xingyu (CHN - SR) Very solid routine with a stuck dismount.

Joel Plata (ESP - HB) Didn't see much of the routine but he fell off.

Kaczper Garncerek (POL - PB) Whippet, 1/2, peach, a little slow on the Makuts, Healy, Diam, Giant, Stutz, big hop to the side on the double front.
