Rotation 6

Yang Haonan (CHN - FX) Fall on the dismount

Reuben Ward (GBR - HB) Zou li min, tak 1/2, catches the Liukin, straddle Tkatchev to Gienger, Stalder, doub double lay with a small hop.

Danila Leykin (USA - PH) worked hard to finish strong. Was VERY lucky to save the dismount but made it and landed to a big scream from Yul Moldauer.

Kawakami Shohei (JPN - HB) also with a fall. It honestly feels like no one wants to win this

Rotation 5

Danila Leykin (USA - FX) Hopefully he can put high bar behind him and go out strong on FX. Sticks the double lay full-in, low on the combo pass but really nice in the flairs, just a small hop on the triple full, beautiuful scale. a little short on the double pike.

Yang Haonan (CHN - HB) a little late on the tak full, tak 1/2 a lso a bit late, lay tkatchev, Czech giants goes straight to handstand. Sticks the double double dismount.

Courtney Tulloch (GBR - PB) peach, giant, OH NO! Off on the piked Belle, Tanaka, Whippet, small shuffle on the double pike dismount. He just looks devastated and they keep showing him on the screen.

Thomas Mejia (COL - PH) Was going strong until the dismount and stood on the horse.

Florian Langenegger (SUI - FX) Good combo pass, beautiful stuck double lay, took a step on the double full side pass. Short on the double pike dismount.

Sergei NAIDIN (WG2 - HB) GORGEOUS sky-high Kolman and a stuck dismount.

Li Hongyan (CHN - HB) - fell. Not sure what on.

Kam Nelson (USA - VT) Looks LOCKED IN. Much more control on his landings than in qualifications, the scariest thing in his routine might be that dad gum scale 😆 Sorta sticks the dismount. sorta gets thrown up by the floor.

Rotation 4

Sorry, I missed several routines because they are literally tearing up the whole floor. The last time I saw this happen was 2017 Worlds and they had to let people re-do their floor routines. Soooooooo we are keeping an eye on this.

The British outdid their qualifications on vault. The only one I saw directly was Jake Jarman who did a good Kas 2.5.

Danila Leykin (USA - HB) with effectively two falls on high bar. Does stick the dmsount. He grabs his head after the routine. Effectively takes the U.S. out of medal contention.

Noe Seifert (SUI - HB) Sticks the dismount.

Looks like the Dutch coach was the run making noise about the floor being uneven.

Zou Jingyuan (CHN - PB) With basically a copy and paste routine. So good.

After 4:

  1. GBR 168.663

  2. China 168.262

  3. Japan 167.530

  4. WG2 166.431

  5. Switzerland 164.464

  6. Colombia 162.262

  7. USA 162.196

Rotation 3

Sorry was running back from the bathroom I swear your options are either to dehyrdate yourself or miss a few athletes.

I saw Shohei Kawakami stuck his rings dismount and a colleagute told me Faverus (NED) fell on parallel bars.

Shane Wiskus (USA - PB) was on fire! Stuck dismount too!

Li Hongyan (CHN - VT) Fall on handspring randi

Joe Fraser (GBR - SR) He looks actually much stronger than he has earlier in the week. Good positions. Stuck dismount.

Arsenii Dukhno (WG2 - VT) Kas double. Good in the air. A few hops forward.

Danila Leykin (USA - PB) IDK what happened to Dani. He didn't complete a Whippet which is about as simple as it gets on pbars. And like the deepest squat I've ever seen on the dismount.

Harry Hepworth (GBR - SR) Sweat literally dripping of Harry onto the mat. He looks very strong and that dismount was REDEMPTION for qualifications. Wow what a comeback! Lordy the Brits are loud in the crowd. 😆

Camilo Vera (COL - HB) One of those big fall moments.

Fred Richard (USA - PB) Fred Richard came in clutch when the US needed him. There was a scary moment when I thought he was going to fall off but ends the routine wiht a stick.

Angel Barajas (HB - COL) with a stick on high bar

Courtney Tulloch Azarian planch lower then push to maltese, man he is so strong, little swing on the hnadstand, planche is good, maltese, cross, kip to handstand. Jesus Christ he threw those rings in such a scary way. He lands deep and saves it.

  1. GBR - 125.164

  2. China - 124.896

  3. Japan - 124.564

  4. Switzerland - 123.898

  5. WG2 - 123.498

  6. USA - 123.297

  7. Colombia - 122.196

  8. Netherlands - 121.297

Rotation 2

Jake Jarman (GBR - PH) Would say it was sufficient. He stayed on but there were definitely some skew on the travels.

Yang Haonan (CHN - SR) Definitely the best hold positions we've seen tonight. Small hop back on the dismount.

Shane Wiskus (USA - VT) Was a good vault but not as good as qualifications. Should score a little lower.

Shohei Kawakami (JPN - PH) Li Ning, straigth into flairs, E flop, a little wonky on the russian on one pommel, skew on the Magyar and I think he hit the pommel on his dismount.

Mattia Piffaretti (SUI - VT) Kas 1.5. Some soft knees and a hop. 13.833.

Danila Leykin (USA - VT) WOW that was a beautiful Shewfelt. small hop.

Reuben Ward (GBR - PH) A very good routine from the Brit.

Zou Jingyuan Chn- SR) His invert is better than it was in qualifying ooohhh but his iron cross came in low and he had to push it up, really strong in the maltese, but his iron cross is high, nice control in the handstand, a good college stick and salute,

Kam Nelson (USA - VT) Wow it felt like he waited a little too long to twist? He puts the Randi to his feet but it was a bit tucked.

Lan Xingyu (CHN - SR) Ends with a proper stick.

Doi Ryosuke (JPN - PH) I missed the actual routine but Daiki is absolutely losing his mind so I'm guessing it was good 😆

Ilia Zaika (WG2 - SR) They made him wait a hundred years to go. The routine started strong but then he fell on the dismount.

After 2:

  1. China - 83.898

  2. Japan - 83.631

  3. GBR - 83.265

  4. Netherlands - 82.365

  5. USA - 81.698

  6. Switzerland - 81.132

  7. Russia - 80.832

  8. Colombia - 80.598

Rotation 1

I'm obsessed that the men are now doing march out poses and choreo!

No choreo from the U.S. men.

Japan and GBR are starting in Olympic order;

WG2 and China are starting on pommel horse;

USA and Switzerland are starting on still rings;

Netherlands and Colombia are starting on vault.

Elijah Faverus (NED - VT) Started teh team of with a great Kas 1.5.

Daiki Hahsimoto (JPN - FX) OOB (I think -0.3), stuck a pass in the middle, GORGEOUS double pike to end.

Shane Wiskus (USA - SR) Maltese is a little high and angled both times, arch through the handstand, nice jon to handstand (controlled, rings swinging a bit on the straddle sit, fights for the stick on the double double but heels lift and I don't think they will give it to them. His D score is .2 lower than in quals.

Joe Fraser (GBR - FX) starts off will a fall on the flayout full-in.

Zou Jingyuan (CHN - PH) Really really strong routine.

Oka Shinnosuke (JPN - FX) Wondering if he's going to get a simple corner transition. They are really low amplitude and the first one looked like a simple step to me. He did stick a GORGEOUS double lay dismount though.

Camilo Vera (COL VT) Nice Kas 1.5 looked like he would stick it then took a step back.

Fred Richard (USA - SR) kip tp planche, lower to maltese (high IMO), kip to maltese, joh to handstnad (rings swinging), some wobbles on the next handstand, hop back on the double double layout.

Harry Hepworth (GBR - FX) He looks strong today. STUCK dismount. Almost four tenths increase in total score from qualifying.

Yang Haonan (CHN - PH) scissor to open, D slop, spindle, big leg split on the Wu and a little piked on the Tong fei, Sivado into dismount was tidy.

Kam Nelson (USA - SR) Looks strong. Good opening maltese, had to lower into the inverted, not sure he ever really controled it. His irone cross was good, Does have to fight for the handstand, Stuck-ish the dismount.

Jake Jarman (GBR - FX) Double Double layout to openn with a small shuffle, back 2.5 to double front with a small hop, back 2.5 , Triple double tuck with a small shuffle, Stuck triple side pass, double double tuck with a small hop back.

After 1:

  1. Netherlands (VT) - 41.766

  2. Colombia (VT) - 41.365

  3. GBR (FX) 41.300

  4. Japan (FX) - 41.299

  5. WG2 (PH) - 41.166

  6. China (PH) - 41.132

  7. USA (SR) - 39.565
