Can Zhang Boheng Win The Title Back After Sitting Out 2024

The 2025 Chinese Gymnastics Championships are taking place in Nanning, China May 15 - 22; the competition is comprised of a team, all-around and event competition. Jiangsu (the team in which Shi Cong, Sun Wei, and You Hao compete) has won the team competition for five years running. Following qualifications Hunan, led by World Champion, Zhang Boheng, is leading Jiangsu by over six points. Should they take the title, it would be monumental.
Zhang Boheng is leading the all-around competition after qualifications ahead of 2019 Junior World Medalist, Yang Haonon. Boheng told the media that he injured his neck before the national championship and found it difficult to spot the landings. Despite his injury, he maintained over a half-point lead in the all-around comeptition.

Event Qualification Leaders
Two-time Olympic Championships Liu Yang (rings) and Zou Jingyuan (parallel bars) continue their dominance in their respective events. Liu Yang's 14.700 tied Adem Asil's world-leading score and Zou Jingyuan's 15.00 was the first person to break the 15.000 bearier on parallel bars.
Two-time World Champion, Hu Xuwei is leading high bar with the 10th highest score in the world thus far and Huang Mingxi's two-vault average places his him the top-15 world wide to date.
