NCAA
2025 Week 8 NCAA Gymnastics Schedule
#1 OU takes on Nebraska and Cal

February 28, 2025
While the majority of NCAA athletes had a week off last week, many NCAA athletes like Brandon Dang and Taylor Christopulos fought for, and earned, spots on the U.S. National Team at Winter Cup. This weekend, 12 of the 15 teams return to collegiate competition beginning with a tri-meet at Cal.

February 28 (6 pm PT): OU and Nebraska @ Cal
This weekend’s gymnastics kicks off with the Nebraska and Oklahoma at California. Oklahoma is definitely the favorite to win this meet. Battle pommel horse continues with a match-up between Ignacio Yockers (Oklahoma) and Aidan Li (Cal) on pommel horse, ranked 4th and 5th on this event currently. Either or both of these two could very easily move up in the rankings this weekend. OU Star, Fuzzy Benas, is expected to return to NCAA on several events which will likely boost OU's final score.

March 1 (1 pm CT): Army and Greenville @ Illinois
On Saturday, Army and Greenville will travel to Illinois. This will be a tight competition for Army and Greenville, who are neck and neck just outside of the top ten teams right now. Illinois is the projected winner, though they are surely focused on staying in the top five and potentially moving up. Keep an eye on Illinois’ Brandon Dang, who just took home the gold medal on pommel horse at Winter Cup.
